I am public relations major with a focus in communication.
The first semester of my sophomore year I decided to change my major from
business management to public relations. I had only taken a few classes in business,
but right off the bat I knew it wasn't for me. I struggled for a while to
figure out what I really wanted to do until I chose pr, and now I couldn't be
happier with my decision.
For my pr degree I have taken all the necessary classes to
graduate. The only thing I have left to take is units, as well as, one other
communications class. I have one more semester left at SJSU until I graduate in
fall 2012. The past four years have flown by and I can't believe I only have a
few month of college left.
After I graduate I plan to get a job in SF or LA. I love big
cities and I think I could find a good pr job in one of these places. After I
take a few years to travel and work I plan on attending graduate school. I want
to be really sure of what I want to do with my life before I go back to school
again. I’ve been contemplating a graduate degree in mass communications, but
since I’m not one hundred percent sure I think it would be best for me to wait
a few years.
I have actually been thinking about graduate school myself. I took decided the same thing. Before I get myself into that I want to be absolutely positive what I want to do. I'm going to take some time off before I go back.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You're almost done with your studies at the undergraduate level, and you still have your whole life ahead of you. Best wishes finding a job you love in the city or Los Angeles. I too am thinking about graduate school, but with the rise in costs, I'm just not sure anymore. All I know is that I take life one day at a time, and I'm just focused on finishing up my bachelor's degree at the moment!
